Features

Every feature, with a demo you can try.

Each block below runs on sample data. Try one, then open the app to see them all on one chart.

The tape

Big prints from across the market land here, newest first.

  • Each row shows the ticker, dollars, rank and venue.
  • Filter by rank, venue or your favorites.
  • Select a row to open its chart at that moment.

Prints arrive 15 minutes after they trade.

Sample data

Print ranks

See whether a trade is ordinary or one of its ticker's largest since 2016.

  • Every big print gets two numbers, dollars and rank. Under the chart, Prints on this chart lists the ones in view, by rank or by time.
  • Ranks compare a ticker with its own past trades, by dollar value.
  • The size ladder shows what it takes to reach each rank on that ticker.
  • Prints · Show 10 draws the ten best-ranked prints in the part of the chart you're looking at. Pick Show 5, Show 20, Show 50 or Show all.

Ranks are all-time for this ticker, since 2016: they use each ticker's history from January 2016, or from its first covered day if later. Prints outside the all-time top 100 show without a rank number.

Print types

Four print types, drawn by one short rule.

  • Shape is the kind: circles are regular prints and diamonds are Sweeps.
  • Color is the venue: one color for Lit, on an exchange, another for Dark.
  • Size and number are the rank: a 3 is the ticker's 3rd-largest print.
  • Where prints share a spot, the biggest is drawn with a doubled outline in its own color.
  • Late Reports, Ghost Prints and Recurring Blocks are named in the tooltip.

Dark Levels

See the price zones where heavy off-exchange volume built up.

  • Each level has an all-time rank for its ticker, by Dark dollars since 2016. Ranks go to 100; smaller levels show without a rank.
  • Levels · Show 3 draws the three best-ranked levels in the price range you're looking at and labels the #1; point at another line to see its rank. Pick Off, Show 5, Show 10 or Show 20.
  • A Revisit alert tells you when price comes back to a ranked level.
  • A Level Break alert tells you when price moves clearly through a level ranked #1 to #20 on heavy volume.

A Dark Level records where trading happened. It says nothing about where price goes next.
